As we gather around the Thanksgiving table, we can't help but reflect on the many blessings that enrich our lives here at the MCHS Library. This holiday season is not only a time to appreciate the warmth of family, the camaraderie of friends, and the joys of community, but also an opportunity to express our deep gratitude for the incredible journey we've shared together.

This year, a historic photograph from our collection captures a timeless moment of familial love that warms our hearts. The image features six daughters of Delphi Elizabeth Sponable Vail, embracing their mother in a tight-knit, linked hug. It's a poignant reminder of the power of family bonds and the enduring spirit of togetherness.

In the spirit of gratitude, we extend a warm welcome to our new Executive Director, Wayne Duerkes, Ph.D. His passion for history and commitment to the community have already infused our library with renewed energy and purpose. We are excited about the fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, experience, and connections he brings to our beloved institution.

None of our successes would be possible without the dedication of our remarkable volunteers and staff members. Their tireless efforts, creativity, and unwavering commitment have shaped the MCHS Library into what it is today. We give thanks for each of you, for the skills, enthusiasm, and love you bring to our library family.
